Alpaca DNA: the fiber that defines us
Alpaca is not just a raw material. It is culture, it is territory, it is living history. At Inca Tops, this noble fiber is transformed into premium yarns that reach more than 30 countries, thanks to a productive ecosystem that combines cutting-edge technology with Andean textile art. From the Pacomarca scientific station to the industrial plants in Arequipa, each yarn tells a story of origin, traceability, and purpose.
The company works with more than 2,000 producer families, promoting fair trade, genetic improvement, and technical training. Programs like Black Alpaka and PacoKipu reinforce traceability from the field, while collections like Signature, Legacy, and Pure elevate natural luxury to its highest expression.
Global positioning with international standards
The 2024 sustainability report details how Inca Tops has consolidated its international presence through certifications such as:
- Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®
- STeP by OEKO-TEX®
- GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)
- RAS, RWS, RMS and Nativa™
- Peruvian Carbon Footprint
These accreditations support every stage of the process, from responsible shearing to after-sales service, and allow us to offer customers verified, traceable products aligned with the highest sustainability standards.
Vision 2030: roadmap to a sustainable future
Sustainability at Inca Tops is not a trend; it's a way of living and producing. The company has drawn a clear strategy towards 2030, based on:
- Circular economy and waste valorization
- Energy transition with natural gas and solar panels

- Active contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
During 2024, key improvements were implemented, such as the separation of fibers by quality from the source, the training of more than 1,000 producers in animal welfare, and the recertification of STeP, making it the only company in Latin America with this standard at Level 3.
Ethical and transparent governance
The Inca Tops board of directors plays an active role in overseeing economic, social, and environmental impacts. Governance is based on principles of integrity, legality, and continuous improvement, with clear policies on safety, supply chain, risk control, and equitable compensation.
In addition, a zero-tolerance policy against child and forced labor is maintained, with prevention, monitoring, and remediation protocols. Business ethics are reinforced with internal training, confidential reporting channels, and an organizational culture focused on respect and transparency.
Talent that weaves the future
With more than 1,100 employees, Inca Tops promotes gender equality, local employment, and continuous training. The future Inca University demonstrates the commitment to specialized technical development, while the Annual Training Plan strengthens competitiveness and professional growth.
In occupational health and safety, the company operates under a rigorous SGSST system, with IPERC matrices, joint committees, and wellness campaigns that include medical services, vaccinations, and occupational surveillance. In 2024, no serious or fatal accidents were recorded, demonstrating a solid preventive culture.
